city of Irving. Ameriquest Field, Home of The Texas Rangers Baseball Team as well
as Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor are located approximately
10 minutes west in our neighboring City of Arlington. South Grand Prairie offers
water recreation on beautiful Joe Pool Lake. The city is serviced by two municipal
golf courses, Prairie Lakes Golf Course in East Grand Prairie and Tanglewood Golf
Course, a city owned country club style golf course near Joe Pool Lake in South
Grand Prairie.
The city of Grand Prairie is serviced by the Grand Prairie Independent School
District, Arlington Independent School District, Mansfield Independent School
District, and Irving Independent School District, depending on location, as
well as several private schools.
